Avoid this place, the turnover rate of nurse practitioners speaks volumes about how this facility is managed. Let me start by saying I was a patient with Benjamins behavioral services back in 2017. G&A took over and this is when the environment change.

I recently had the worse, unprofessional interaction with Olufunmilayo Ekundare, “Funmi”, (the 3rd PNP in a year)NPI #1114794260. When I requested to speak with Dr. Safa, Funmi responded “He is not here in this office, you can call back and get his number from the front desk”. She then proceeded to let me know that she handles ALL the patients there. I only had one connection with Funmi and during our connection she didn’t take the time to listen to my symptoms in full, often cutting me off or dismissing my input without explanation. This lack of attention and care has left me feeling like my health is not a priority, and my questions go unanswered or are met with vague responses that offer little to no clarity.
Funmi never followed up to ensure my meds were taken care of, nor did she attempt to.
Unfortunately, I found the communication to be quite challenging. When I attempted to provide feedback about a potential communication barrier, the response was defensive rather than open to discussion.
While I understand that healthcare environments can be fast-paced and stressful, effective and compassionate communication is crucial for patient trust and care. This is my mental health we are dealing with.
A positive note worth mentioning is Shertia Lucas, G&A’s medical assistant, I would have left a long time ago if it wasn’t for her. She keeps you informed, knows your history as a patient, responds to your concerns and ALWAYS follows up. This lady is on her game, always professional and caring. Its individuals like Sherita that will keep patients long enough but PNP’s like Funmi that will run them off. Shertia thank you for everything. Funmi and the rest of the staff can take come soft skills, patient centric and proactive approach training from you.

Hopefully Dr. Safa Rubaye reads these reviews, and this feedback can be used constructively to ensure that future interactions are more patient-centered and empathetic. This lack of professionalism and disregard for patient well-being is unacceptable, and it has made me question whether I can trust this physician with my health moving forward. I will also be filing a complaint with the Texas Medical Board, since I felt her conduct has left me in an emotional state.
I have proactively change providers and encourage anyone else to do the same, happy to reply with the new facility information if anyone needs it.

I was transferred hereafter Benjamin Behavioral closed. They don't care about patients at all. All my appointments have been with the nurse practitioners, who at least try to help. However, the doctor who signs my prescriptions is frequently unreachable and will take days to sent my medicine to the pharmacy. God help you if the pharmacy doesn't have that medicine in stock. Then you have to call G&A Wellness several times a day and wait for the absentee doctor to send your medicine to another pharmacy. This will go on for several days.

Bunch of liars who just want your money. Lady who bought this place out doesn't know how to manage a business and it was 100x better before. They refuse to give my brother his medical record because they "forgot" to cancel the appointment he called to cancel 3 days before the appointment. When hee was cancelling the appointment, he was asked if he was changing psychiatrist which is none of their business. They purposely didn't cancel it so he would be forced to pay to get his medical record! Now unless he pays $150 he can't get his medical record!

This is a great place to go if you record every conversation so you can turn around and sue them for malpractice.

Edith Onuegbu will falsify patient statements, if she doesnt like you because of her personal beliefs, the staff will verbally claim your ADHD drug test is "positive" when the paper says negative, refuse to show you or give you the results. They will claim your test is invalid if you took ADHD medication in January but youre taking the test in July having been off medication for 5+ months. They will put unprofessional comments on your ADHD test summary thats not related to ADHD, that shouldnt be on the summary at all. Their Dr may leave and the staff will not schedule you with someone else and will not tell you the Dr is leaving. If you ask for an amendment they will refuse and not follow the proper procedure of giving you a reason in writing and adding it to your medical record.

Edith may intentionally and willfully add comments to your record to intentionally try to screw you over because she doesnt like you.

It is very difficult to speak with someone there , Mel the person in the front, don’t return phones calls, it is very hard to make an appointment there is very weird , they will see you in 2 months …the office is always empty …no patients.
Never call you for results , sometimes they accept Medicaid sometimes they don’t. I like a dr that was there, was a pa young men very knowledgeable.
But front desk is not good. Thank you anyways for your service. !

Quite simply if it wasn't for Dr. Ghada Saqer, I would not be here to write this review, she saved my life!

A little background first. I've coming to her for a little over a year and have always enjoyed the way myself and my family have been treated. On this day though things were different. I had been feeling worse and worse over the last 4 days, so Monday I decide to come in and see her after work.

As she examined me she became more and more concerned, so she did an EKG and said "You need to go to the ER I can call 911..." I said no it's right across the street we (wife and I), can just go over there. Which we did....

After all that after her clinic closed up her and her husband came over to the ER to check up on and have called my wife for updates.

Bottom line. This is not the type of care you see today, she has always gone above and beyond for me and my family.

This clinic took over Benjamin Behavioral as well as their patients. The doctor here refuses to prescribe medication that have worked for my condition in the past. They are more worried about liability than patient well-being, I guess. Needless to say, I’m no longer a patient here.
