The view from the room was spectacular! I love waking up to the lake and Mountain View’s. The staff were amazing! Joseline was amazing…she always greeted us with a smile on her face and always willing to answer our many questions. My husband and I had an enjoyable stay and wished we stayed longer. We would love to visit again.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights starting from Friday. We had made our reservation online through the hotel’s website. The hotel is located at a convenient location near the Estes Park downtown area. Our room had a nice lake view balcony, the staff were very friendly and the beds were comfortable.|After we checked in, we found out that the bathroom had no vanity sink, nor any ventilation fan. There was a sink in the bedroom area which was kind of awkward. We expressed our concern to the management. We were told some remodeling construction work was in progress during our stay, excluding weekends, and some of the rooms had been upgraded previously  but unfortunately our room was not upgraded yet. We asked to be moved to an upgraded room, but no options were provided without a significant up charge. So we felt we were stuck because if we wanted to cancel our reservation, we would have been charged for one night which was not cheap.|The onsite restaurant is conveniently located inside the hotel with a great lake view, but is somewhat pricy as well. So we ended up driving to town everyday to get a lot better value for all meals and snacks.

This is a very nice resort. I just stayed overnight, but the room was well equipped, very clean, comfortable, and nice. My room overlooked the lake, and I had a beautiful view of the mountains. The restaurant, Embers, is great. (I did a separate review of that)

I gave the room 4 stars vs. 5 as the balcony has zero privacy. There is a short metal fence between each balcony, and you can see in the room on either side of you from your balcony. If you sit outside, you can hear others talking several rooms away on their balcony. It makes privacy an issue, and it feels uncomfortable to leave the curtains open. Some kind of tall dividers would make this issue much better.

Besides that one point, I would recommend this resort!

The Embers Restaurant at the Estes Park Resort is a no go. We had lunch there and the chicken tenders were prepared poorly. I think they must be off a truck frozen and ready to fry. They were over priced for the quality. The French fries were pretty good. It’s a beautiful restaurant, but absolutely full of flies!!! I find this a bit disgusting considering the amount of flies. I really wanted to leave, but the person I was with didn’t seem bothered by the flies and continuously shooing them away from our sub par meal. This place needs to step it up on food quality and rid the restaurant of nasty flies. The server was sweet but spoke so softly, we could barely understand her. She was definitely a good server. Management, for the price of the food, get your game on! Food quality needs improvement.

We have been to estes park many times but this was our stay at The Estes Park Resort, we were touring for our wedding. Wow the resort is beautiful and the views alone are worth it. The renovated rooms are amazing, very impressed with the look. Our experience at their restaurant Ember was amazing, everyone was so friendly and the food was just as good - we had the lobster mac and steak with prickly pear margaritas. I am so excited to go back in the spring and will definitely recommend this resort! They are doing renovations but I didn't hear any noise, just saw the workers walking to and from their areas.

This is a lovely resort, however we did not have a $470/night experience. My expectations from the pictures were that it was more secluded, private, and quiet. There are only a few amenities or extra spaces to explore. You hear traffic noise coming from across the lake. If sitting out on your balcony, be prepared to see and hear everything your neighbor says, as there isn't privacy. Little things like a loud refrigerator, dust under the room bench, and cobwebs on the balcony did not give it a resort-polished feel. The lake is beautiful and close to a lot of great Estes restaurants. I enjoyed the walking path around the lake as well! Romantic electric fireplace (no heat, but pretty). We did not spend much time in the room because we hiked so much, so it met our needs just fine. Ember, the restaurant located there, was amazing. The staff overall helpful and kind.
