Bishop's Lodge is a gorgeous property just ten minutes outside of Santa Fe although you feel like you're in another world. Our room in the Grove was warm, spacious, and well furnished and the kiva fireplace came in handy. Highly recommend the restaurants, spa, and all the unique experiences the hotel has to offer like the hiking trails on the property, adventures booked through the concierge, and the house car program. I also recommend booking through Amex's Fine Hotels and Resorts. Breakfast every morning was excellent.

I came to Bishop's Lodge on a solo trip between the madness of the holidays and it far surpassed any of my expectations. It was a slower season at the hotel, but plenty of guests to run into and chat with, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at Bishop's Lodge. Every single person was kind, friendly, welcoming, and extremely accommodating. I have to eat gluten and dairy free and had no trouble ordering food at the restaurant or in-room dining. The spa is under construction now and in a temporary spot but it is still very intimate and relaxing. I was halfway through my vacation at Bishop's Lodge when I decided it would be an annual pilgrimage between the holidays to rest and relax. The people that work at Bishop's Lodge are what make it so special, plus the property is incredibly beautiful.

Another incredible experience with Auberge. The service from start to finish was laudable. The scenery was marvelous. Food options delectable. The spa staff and service was exceptional. We took our child and they curated the room for a comfortable and unforgettable vacation. Can’t wait for the next one!

I don't know where to begin but this is our first time staying at an Auberge resort and all I can say is that I can't wait to go back again! For starter, we got a super upgrade to a one bedroom with a Jacuzzi on the balcony over looking the BIshop's beautiful property. All the activities, whether it's for a little me time or a family fun day, were all well-curated. Additionally, a total bonus point, and the highlight of my husband's day was he got to drive a G-class during one of the days during our stay. Now we're definitely going to make Auberge our next vacation spot 🙂

I really wanted to give this a 5 star. Had a great time at the Bluebird, the service was outstanding and the Grove room was awesome. But we had breakfast at the Skyfire and the food was cold. Would recommend the chef heat the plates and warm the smoked salmon before putting the eggs on top. Have you ever had cold eggs Benedict? ?

Five Star Resort close to downtown Santa Fe. It is five star as advertised and doesn't disappoint.

The staff is absolutely incredible and there to assist you every step of the way. From golf cart rides anywhere on property to exceptional housekeeping, they are there for anything that you need.

We stayed in a Grove room and it was excellent - large and spacious with a great kiva fireplace. The bathroom was freshly remodeled and had an amazing soaking tub and shower. Everything is immaculate and clean.

The property is large and sprawling with many trails to walk / hike on. The restaurant was also very good - albeit pricy (you get what you pay for).

We were there in November just after a snow storm so we didn't have an opportunity to utilize the pool or many of the other amenities but we will definitely return to experience them!

It's a short 7 minute ride to downtown or they have a free shuttle service also.

We first visited just before Christmas 2023, and loved it so much that we came back in 2024, for a longer stay over Christmas. Such an amazing time! What stood out to me was the attention to detail of the staff. They are friendly and professional at the same time, and they truly went above and beyond in a couple of instances. We will be back!

Your money is better spent elsewhere. I have a wide range of hotel experience and firmly believe you should have exceptional service for L’Auberge’s price point. Bishop’s Lodge lacked both service and attention to detail throughout our entire stay.

Upon check in, staff could not answer basic questions about amenities. Our room had multiple issues including a broken phone, very poor water pressure and faulty fireplace. No welcome drinks. The phone issue was the worst part since our room was at the top of a steep hill. We could not call for golf cart pickup or room service. My friend is pregnant and had to hike it half the time. I mentioned it to the front desk multiple times and it was never fixed. On the last day of our stay I said the phone was still broken and was only met with an “I’m sorry,” from the front desk clearly not understanding the inconvenience.

The food was severely mid. We ordered poolside for lunch, food came slowly, fries were like lukewarm and salad and chicken bland. They forgot condiments and took about 10 minutes to get them so the fries were half gone and cold by the time it arrived.

They seemed short staffed either because they were or because they were supporting multiple events during our stay. This included a wedding on Saturday which occupied most of the communal space and valet services. Our turn down service fluctuated each day. The first day none, second day just turn down, third day we got a cookie. I don’t believe in hotels that sacrifice the experience of their paid guests for event clients.

It makes me sad because I’d assume some guests think Bishops lodge is the best their money can buy. I’ve had far better service at hotels half the price where staff is friendly, timely and accommodating and food is better. To name a few I’d take One Hotel, Enchantment Resort and even Ace over this.
