I have been seeing Saima for Acupuncture at Be Well for around a year and a half now and I can honestly say she changed my life.
For 6 years I had pretty awful acid reflux and saw many different doctors for this. I was scoped and biopsied and given loads of medication and nothing worked. When I would talk to my doctors about this they would change my medication or double it. They told me to lose weight, I lost lots of weight, they told me to eat bland foods, and I would eat the blandest foods possible for weeks straight... nothing worked.
I finally got fed up with feeling like it would never change and being told that I would be on this medication the rest of my life.
I researched some alternative methods to cure acid reflux and one method that kept popping up was how well acupuncture worked to help minimize or even get rid of acid reflux. I was a little skeptical honestly, but was at the point where I needed to be open minded.
I started working with Saima and after 6 weeks of visits my acid stopped. She was then able to help me slowly wean off my medication over the next few weeks. (you can't stop acid medication immediately, if you do you will get rebound)
It's been over a year now and I still don't have acid reflux and it's been amazing.
Saima listened to my problem, approached it with an open mind and kept me informed with everything that was happening as we worked to get rid of my acid. I now go to see Saima first for everything!!
I have had a few other services at Be Well besides acupuncture since I started going and everyone there is truly incredible. The front desk is super kind, friendly and its just a wonderfully welcoming place.
