I have had the pleasure of visiting this tranquil Spa in the heart of London for facials with Robina since soon after my move to the city, in 2015. Robina has been caring for my skin for years, offering a beautiful facial experience that has been catering to my needs for almost 10 years!

Robina has become a trusted ally in the support and maintenance of my skin from the inside out. She has been so generous with advice in regards to my nutrition and at-home routine too. Her professionalism, manners, and cleanliness are impeccable. Robina is able to deep cleanse my sensitive skin in a non-invasive way, while nourishing it and giving it a radiant glow.

On one occasion, I had a facial with another professional since she was not available, and it just was not the same.

I feel so grateful to have found a professional that I trust with my skincare in the city I love and I will continue to receive facials with Robina for the foreseeable future. If you would like to find a professional with top experience who will truly care for you, look no further!

Unfortunately the experience didn't live up to expectations. Based on the prices of the services, this was very very disappointing. Whilst the exfoliating scrub was invigorating, the deep tissue massage was deeply unsatisfactory. The therapist was clearly inexperienced. I had asked for a strong hard massage and the therapist didn't recommend it stating "I would get tired and he would get tired". He did change his mind half way through and I ended up with bruises on both shoulder blades. I have been to many massages before and this therapist didn't perform any of the gestures I would have expected. It wasn't relaxing at all so I am sorry to say that I would not recommend this spa.

An utterly amazing experience. My son had the full body massage and I had the Indian head massage, and a neck/shoulders/arms massage. Service was impeccable from the moment we arrived and the treatments were amazing.

My therapist, Illy, started off by asking about any health conditions or areas of concern and was able to give me tips about a couple of painful conditions I suffer from from spending too much time at a desk. We had the most amazing conversations during my treatment and I went away feeling relaxed and as if I'd been refreshed in body, soul and mind.

It's not a cheap place, but it does prove that you get what you pay for, and this is definitely worth saving up for. My son's massage was equally excellent and he feels relaxed and rested, which as a schoolteacher, doesn't often happen.

I booked myself a birthday 90 minute detox treatment which included body scrub and massage elements. I have had this treatment before at this venue and rated it highly - the products are natural and pure and the experience previously has been relaxing and enjoyable. I am sad to say that yesterday’s treatment didn’t live up to the former visits. My therapist was sweet enough but clearly inexperienced. She neglected to tell me to start face down (for both the scrub and massage) and didn’t let me know at the end of the treatment whether I should meet her outside or whether she would return with my water. I ended up waiting around before taking the decision to leave the treatment room. Communication skills could definitely be improved. Another issue was the lack of consistency. During the scrub my therapist asked whether I was happy with my stomach being touched and I replied that I was and so she did scrub that area but she then neglected to massage my stomach when it came to the massage element of the treatment. Neither with the scrub or the massage were my hands attended to. A whole body treatment should include (and has previously included) hands and fingers - to me it’s an important part of a massage and scrub given how much we use our hands and how much work they do! Further inconsistency arose when my right hand shoulder/clavicle area was massaged but my left hand side forgotten. Another issue was the clunky transition between scrub and massage which left me having to wait in the shower cubicle after my shower for my therapist to leave the room to get me a towel. I appreciate there is a lot to do while the client is in the shower in terms of clean up from the scrub but I do feel that this could have been a little more seamless.

Overall I was left feeling like I had been a little shortchanged. I picked Como Shambala because of the prior experiences I (and my husband) have had there (in the London Met) and also on our honeymoon many years ago in the Maldives and consider the hotel and spa offering to be very high quality. The price point reflects this. Unfortunately my expectations were not met and I am unlikely to return again. I did mention to the woman on the spa reception area (manager?) but wasn’t convinced she quite understood the level of my disappointment. Such a shame as I know it can be much better.

I received a Birthday gift voucher for a 75-minute facial GUINOT Hydradermie. Robina, who appeared to be a Senior Beauty Therapist in the Spa, performed my facial. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Robina for the experience I had because of her professionalism and kind approach.
I genuinely appreciate the attention to my skin's demands and the explanation of the facial procedure. Explanation was done at the appropriate points of the treatment not to disturb the experience. I had a few product-related questions, and Robina patiently explained about various products that were used during the facial and what I would need to use going forward if I choose to use products by Guinot. I can see that this lady has extensive expertise in the field of beauty and skincare and has earned the title of Senior Therapist for a reason. Along with her professionalism and expertise, I can tell that Robina is also very kind, considerate, and well-mannered member of the team, which makes it a pleasure to be around her. I recommended Robina to a few of my friends after the treatment, and I will definitely purchase some gift certificates in the future. 🙂 I hope that Robina is well-recognised and appreciated in her workplace as she is truly amazing! <3

Fantastic experience!! I had the full body massage and the lady (Yasuko) was phenomenal. She paid attention to every muscle of my body and the entire experience was heavenly. Would highly recommend as a gift for a loved one.

I purchased a gift certificate for my brother and his new wife to have a relaxing afternoon at the Shambhala spa after their wedding. It was a bit tricky as I live in Canada while my brother lives in England. Right from my first enquiry I was helped by Emilie Bodin the Wellness Manager. She took care of everything, helped me with the wire transfer and made sure that everything went smoothly. Awesome customer service on her end! I felt like I was in very good hands with her.
